Class sessions

First Class:

Firstly, I was a little bit scared because a new stage in my life was starting. New friends, new professors, new college, everything was new and this discipline was no exception. I remember when I saw my schedule and I read the subjects, I saw “Interpersonal Skills” I thought “What does this have to do with Marketing Management?” but my opinion over this classes completely changed!
In this class, we have done a presentation, but not our presentation, a presentation of our colleagues to know and tale a little bit more with our future friends for life! I made a presentation of Manuel Ramirez, and I remember that he is a very outgoing boy with good vibes. He likes to party all day and all night and play futbol with his friends.
After this, we have done a worksheet to create our groups, for the video project, based on the best features of each other.

We have done this exercise, and to finish, the professor Patricia Araujo presented her self.

Second Class:

In the second class we talked about verbal and non-verbal communication, the different assertiveness communication styles. We have done a “Bomb Shelter” worksheet to trie to find out different opinions in the same situation. We talked of how can we have self motivation and positive attitudes.

Third Class:

In this class, we learned different communication styles, basic styles of communication and different ways we can communicate.

Fourth Class:

Learned 7 different basic emotions and how can we show them with facial expressions. Listening skills. Empathic and critical thinking, Conflating Management and Negotiation.

Fifth Class:

Talked about Multicultural skills, Self-coaching, problem solving and decision making. Discussion with our class partners in group.

Sixth Class:

Group class: group dynamics skills talked about the video (work project). Communication Science and public speaking skills.
The difference between hearing and listening. Constructive criticism sandwich: judge in a good way our colleagues about the way each other talk to class in the videos done in last class.

Seventh Class:

In this last class, have done a self-motivational work and how to manage our stress in some situations.

Blog Post

In this blog post I will talk about facial expressions and how can a facial expression transmit your emotions to the others.
Firstly, I think that facial expression is so important to understand how other people are feeling. Your facial expressions transmit your emotions, even if you’re trying to hide your emotions your facial expression will make a little sign that you will demonstrate what you are feeling so that’s why you have important people in your life, because they always know when something, good or bad, is going on.
In my point of view, I don’t think that facial expression are learned. I think that these expressions “born” with us, like no one thought me how to make a happy face or a sad face when I am feeling that. Since you were younger, you have you facial expressions, for example, you you were 2 years old and you do not know you to speak, how did you tell to someone when you fell you a stomach-ache? Your parents know you since day one, but your expressions make them think that you are with a problem and you are feeling bad. “While facial expressions aren’t the only thing that go into a first impression, they are a pretty big element. So, basing our impressions of others on their facial expressions is usually an effective strategy. However, the accuracy of impressions breaks down when people encounter someone with facial paralysis.”
I think this next video really help to give an opinion on this topic, so here is the link. Hope this video can help you too.  https://youtu.be/5G6ZR5lJgTI

Conclusion

To conclude my work, I think I completely changed my mind about this discipline. I think that don’t have a direct connection with marketing but its essential to know more about e consumers and what they think. But most important is the fact that we can know more about someone. Was a good form to know more about my class friends and create new relationships with different people! Thanks for this classes!
