Introduction
Anxiety diseases are a combination of mental disorders defined by notable feelings of anxiety and fear. Anxiety is a concern about future situations, and fear is a response to current events. These feelings may cause corporal symptoms, such as a quick heart rate and shakiness. There are several anxiety diseases. Furthermore, we are going to talk specifically about the social anxiety disorder that affects several amounts of people around the world that harm us socially and at work. Anxiety disorders often happen with other mental dysfunctions, particularly severe depressive disorder, personality disorder, and substance use disorder. Treatment
Without therapy, anxiety disturbances tend to remain. Therapy may involve lifestyle alterations, counseling, and prescriptions. Pills, such as antidepressants, benzodiazepines, or beta-blockers, may develop symptoms.
Approximately 12% of people are affected by an anxiety disease in a provided year, and within 5% and 30% are affected across an entire life. This could happen in women about twice as frequently as in males and usually occur before age 25 years. The most frequent are specific phobias, which influence nearly 12%, and social anxiety dysfunction, which affects 10%. Fears principally affect people between the ages of 15 and 35 and become less constant after age 55.
Causes
Drugs
Anxiety and depression can be generated by high alcohol consumption, which in most cases, increases with extended abstinence. Even moderate continued alcohol use may aggravate anxiety levels in some people. Caffeine, alcohol, and benzodiazepine addiction can cause anxiety and panic attacks. Anxiety usually occurs during the intense withdrawal phase of alcohol and can endure for up to 2 years as a member of a post-acute withdrawal syndrome in about a quarter of people recovering from alcoholism.
There is proof that prolonged exposure to organic solvents in the work atmosphere can be correlated with anxiety disturbances. Painting, polishing, and carpet-laying are some of the works in which exist meaningful exposure to organic solvents may happen.
Taking caffeine may promote anxiety disorders, including panic disorders. Those with anxiety diseases can have huge caffeine sensation. Cannabis use is associated with anxiety disturbances.
Medical conditions
Irregularly, an anxiety dysfunction may be a side-effect of an underlying endocrine disorder that makes nervous system hyperactivity, such as pheochromocytoma or hyperthyroidism.
Stress
Anxiety disturbances can occur in reply to life pressures, such as financial concerns, chronic physical disability, social communication, ethnicity, and body image, particularly among young adults. Anxiety and mental stress in mid-life are danger factors for dementia and cardiovascular diseases during aging.
Genetics
Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) perseveres in families and is more prevalent in the children of someone with the disease.
While anxiety emerged as an accommodation, in recent times, it is almost always thought of negatively in the circumstances of anxiety disturbances. People with these dysfunctions have highly nervous systems. Therefore, their systems tend to overreact to seemingly inoffensive provocations. Sometimes anxiety disorders happen in those who have had traumatic childhoods. In these circumstances, the dysfunction arises as a way to predict that the individual's situation will continue to pose warnings.
At a short level, anxiety is not a dangerous thing. The hormonal reply to anxiety has developed as an advantage, as it helps humans react to risks. Medicine believes this adaptation allows people to understand that there is a potential threat and to act consequently to guarantee the highest possibility of protection. It has been revealed that those with low levels of anxiety have a higher risk of dying than those with normal levels. This is because the lack of fear can lead to injury or death.
The functional importance of the symptoms associated with anxiety includes higher alertness, quicker capacity for action, and reduced chance of missing threats. In the natural, defenseless individuals, for example, those who are injured or pregnant, have a lower capacity for anxiety response, making them more alert. This shows a long evolutionary history of the anxiety reply.
Workplace Issues
Lost chances for career improvement or better-earning capacity.
Making you feel incompetent both at work and at home.
Always feeling like you are trying to hide your dizziness from bosses and co-workers.
Avoiding fun adventures or chances to develop as a person or professional.
Preventing you from attempting new things, sharing ideas, or reaching your full potential because you are nervous, you will mess up or look laughable.
My Experience
(Conclusion)
Social Anxiety often goes unrecognized. We all feel uncomfortable in social circumstances sometimes, so that clinicians might confuse social Anxiety with usual insecurity or depression. Also, people with social anxiety can find it challenging to talk about their problems for concern of being judged. Still, social Anxiety is one of the most typical mental health problems, for example, 13% of Australians will be diagnosed with Social Anxiety Dysfunction in their lifetime. Men evolve this disorder as frequently as women, and social Anxiety tends to be a chronic disorder that may flutter in levels of severity and impairment across time. (Depression, Alcohol problems, Benzodiazepine addiction, and Low-self esteem.
What people have to do to treat themselves is to change their lifestyles, do more exercise, regularize sleep patterns, and to reduce caffeine intake. Once a particular person starts to use medication and starts to change their lifestyles, their lives are going to change drastically, lowering anxiety levels substantially become more productive. I choose this theme for this blogpost because Anxiety is a problem that several people have, and that messes with a person's lives entirely.
