''Drawing houses is really hard.'' - Ricardo Salgueiro
Advocates of NLP assume that every interpersonal action is positive. Therefore, when you are faced with an unsuccessful turn of fates, what you maintain from that is neither good nor bad – it simply presents new acquire experience about said topic.
Some of the key elements of neuro-linguistic programming are modeling, action and effective communication. The thought process behind said pivotal characteristics is that if an individual can understand how another person achieves a pre-determined goal, the thought guideline can be copied and communicated to your peers so they too can accomplish the task.
What I’ve learned about exploring this topic has been quite interesting since by it putting into perspective I can understand better some of the basis of my problem solving capability.
When I was 3 years old I was facing some issues with drawing, and I know this may sound pathetic at first but let’s try to keep all human actions positive inside this post.
Getting back into my catastrophic drawing skills at a younger age, they would actually become quite problematic since once my caretakers saw my abstract masterpieces, the principal had a meeting with my parents advising them into putting me in a special education course ideally as fast as possible.
My parents became quite scared with the information that was given to them, and had a fortunate turn of events when we moved into our new apartment in Matosinhos. Our 1st floor neighbor was the principal of a kindergarten/primary school called ‘’João de Deus’’ and after my parents discussed their concerns with him I got evaluated by one of their kindergarten teachers, professor Álvaro. He was quite surprised when I had successful results on things like Math and Portuguese Language but when asked to draw a simple house, I would still draw a bunch of different scribbles.
My parents and soon to be new professors gathered in a meeting and decided I would have a sort of a tryout with this different pattern of teaching.
I ended up excelling in most of the disciplines and becoming one of the best students in that primary school (yay me!) and even though I was still facing some major issues with drawing, I still got it done by learning with professor Álvaro as he would draw simple houses in my sheet in order to make me understand that the basis of a draw of a house was a square, a rooftop and a door.
These three things that I learned about a draw when I was really young can be a form of NLP and its benefits, since by observing the skills of others I got to finally apply them into my thought process and get some consistent knowledge in one of the simplest things ever but with major consequences.
The possibility of acquiring a new set of skills through NLP usually comes down to how one individual’s map of the world is formed from data received through senses. Vision, Hearing, Smell,
Taste and Touch all have a significant role in gathering important data for you to later assimilate.
After the gathering of data, the practitioner of NLP must analyze their own perspectives and of his peers in order to get a systematic overview of the situation. By comprehending a vast majority of perspectives the NLP user gains information. The constant influence between mind and body is what makes this school of thought a self-growth approach to life. Neuro-Linguistic Programming is an experimental approach. Therefore, in order for someone to understand their actions, they must perform those said actions and reflect to obtain the maximum of a new experience.
Essentially, Neuro-Linguistic Programming is a ‘’mind hack’’ that allows us to really experience vivid emotions and sensations that lead to more overall knowledge of yourself, your peers and the world that surrounds you. - Ricardo Salgueiro
Neuro-linguistic
programming (NLP) is a psychological approach that involves the analysis of
guidelines used by successful individuals and applying them to reach a personal

Let’s dissect NLP
in order to get a better understanding of its meaning:
