Nowadays when we think about teenagers, the first thing that comes to our mind is being careless, having no responsibilities, laughs, memories and so on! But id you ask a real teenager if this is true with absolutely sure they`ll tell you it isn`t! This is one of the shreds of evidence that depression in teenagers is very underrated by everyone. This is a severe mental health problem that can cause a feeling of sadness and loss of interest in activities.
Some factors that can increase the risk of having depression might be associated with the academic result, the peer problems, problems in home, bullying, violence, etc. According to some studies, 11,3 % of teenagers have chronic depression. Sometimes this problem can be confused with moments of sadness or even laziness (that is my case). However, depression goes way further than this simple moments depression can really affect your everyday actions very seriously ! Having depression is something that teenagers sometimes see as a simple problem and sometimes even refuse to get help, this situation can make you lose your interest in everything in your life. Consequently, this makes you stay in an awful mood all the time. And some times is as simple as taking some pills if people don't want to go to therapy, lots of studies in those pills prove that helps a lot.

Teenagers must also learn how to manage feelings and how to deal with them, it isn't easy at all. Depression as said preciously affect also relationships, but sometimes it can impact your results in school. One evidence also is the sudden drop od grades in school, and to complicate this sometimes teachers don`t comprehend and might confuse and tell you that you didn`t study enough and had a lousy work, what is awfull because the feeling of hopeless might appear. Your experiences in ages of 0 until 7 or 8 are critical if they are bad experiences may create severe traumas. To be in therapy for this and all people is very important because when you are depressed your vision is that you will never get out of your situation and it looks like things won't get any better.
