Psychological Properties Of Colours: Dressing correctly helps you create the first impression among your audience.

The color that a speaker is wearing can be crucial to get the listener's attention or even persuade them , it is proven that colors can change moods, for example, healthy people pick a happy yellow as associated with their mood, while some people with depression and anxiety pick shades of grey to describe their mood.

Even red seems to be a universal color that means stop, danger or hot. Some people might think this has to do with culture or even biology, the truth is that a study in journal emotion found that when people see red they react stronger and faster. Some scientists think this could be because red is so important for communication, but other colors carry meaning too. One study published in environmental science and technology found that the colors with shorter wavelengths like blue and green evoke feelings of calmness, even though blue can be associated with trust, loyalty, wisdom, confidence and truth, a darker shade of blue might transmit fear or sadness.

It might seem subtle but colors have indeed a huge impact on people's minds and audience can be influenced by the colors of the speaker´s clothes. It is proven that people´s point of view relating with the speaker could be influenced my the way of dressing and color that he or she is wearing, for example, when Barack Obama had a speech on war against terrorism, he wore a red tie, according to scientists, to symbolise aggressive and impulsive behaviour, this speech had an impact and a great support on the threat to the Islamic State.

Considering, how colors were distributed by society for example, blue became the color for boys and pink was eventually deemed the color for girls, Additional research in studies on color perception and color preferences show that when it comes to shades, tints and hues men seem to prefer bold colors while women prefer softer colors. Also, men were more likely to select shades of colors as their favorites (colors with black added), whereas women were more receptive to tints of colors (colors with white added). Speakers must consider this if they are talking to an audience with man and woman, so that they eventually choose an neutral color that is not added in groups by society so that it captivates the attention of everyone in the audience.
